If you’re reading this, you may already know a bit about Sanctuary Counseling Group (SCG). As we start a new year, let’s review how SCG functions and why it's here. We are deeply committed to serving the community by providing accessible and affordable mental health care. With a mission centered on bridging the gap in care, SCG strives to ensure that individuals and families receive the support they need to navigate life’s challenges.
Recognizing the financial barriers that often prevent people from seeking mental health services, SCG takes a proactive approach. While we accept many insurance plan,s including (Aetna, BCBS, Medcost, Healthgram, CBHA, and Medicaid plans like Healthy Blue, Amerihealth Caritas, Wellcare, or Carolina Complete Health), we understand that not everyone has access to adequate coverage. That’s why we also offer scholarship opportunities and sliding-scale fee options, ensuring that financial constraints do not stand in the way of receiving essential care. Our dedication to inclusivity and accessibility reflects our belief that mental health care is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
SCG’s impact extends beyond the counseling room. Our staff is available to engage with the community through educational presentations and discussions. We are happy to attend events to speak on mental health topics, provide insights, and foster meaningful dialogue. This outreach helps reduce stigma around mental health issues and empowers individuals and organizations with tools to support emotional well-being.
To meet the diverse needs of our clients, SCG offers both virtual and in-person services. Our virtual counseling sessions make it convenient for individuals to access care from the comfort of their own homes, while our in-person services provide a welcoming and supportive environment for those who prefer face-to-face interactions. We proudly serve multiple communities across North Carolina, including Charlotte, Greensboro, Hendersonville, and Salisbury. This widespread presence allows us to reach individuals and families in various regions, ensuring that more people can receive mental health care.
Fundraising plays a vital role in our ability to fulfill our mission. Through generous contributions from donors and community partners, we are able to provide scholarships, expand our services, and create innovative programs that address the ever-changing needs of our community. Every dollar raised helps us move closer to a future where mental health care is accessible to all.
